Siloxan - the special impregnation against weathering damage
The colorless and frost-resistant Siloxan is applied to plasters of all kinds, bricks, mortar, concrete and pottery as well as to natural and artificial stones, asbestos and asbestos cement, gypsum, insulating materials, etc. and provides excellent protection against moisture penetration and there especially driving rain, as well as water stains, efflorescence and frost damage. In the process, the building material becomes water-repellent and still remains open to diffusion. Siloxane bonds insolubly with the building material and is absolutely weather-resistant. It protects your property all around, preserves the building fabric, and thus ensures fewer repairs and less need for renovation. This will please you and, of course, your wallet.
ILKA®-Siloxan is not suitable for glazed, polished or honed stone surfaces! It may be necessary to clean the surface to be impregnated with ILKA®-Stone Cleaner (A) before. Please be sure to follow our application instructions for this.

Impregnate bricks and walls
Impregnate stones and concrete
The surface to be treated must be dry, clean and absorbent. Concrete or mortar must be 3 to 4 weeks old. After impregnation, the treated surface must be protected from rain for one day. Remove cement residue or dirt, on clinker masonry or stone facades, with ILKA Steinreiniger beforehand. On calcium-containing substrates, clean with ILKA Steinreiniger A. ILKA-Siloxan must not be applied at temperatures below + 5° C. The ready-to-use ILKA-Siloxan can be applied to the dry, absorbent building material in one or more working steps. Care should always be taken to ensure a saturated and even impregnation. For large areas, flooding impregnation by spraying is recommended. Painting and dipping of various building materials is also possible. Before carrying out impregnation, it is recommended to create a test area on which the need for impregnation is determined and the effect of the product can be tested. If the product is applied indoors, good ventilation must be ensured. The consumption depends on the absorbency of the Substrate and is between 0.1 to 1.0 lt / m².

Storage
The containers must be protected from temperatures above + 40 ° C and always stored dry, closed and cool. Prolonged contact of the contents of the container with the air (humidity) must be avoided.
ILKA-Siloxan is frost resistant. Shelf life at least 12 months.

Safety instructions
The usual rules for handling chemicals apply: wear protective goggles, acid-proof gloves and protective clothing. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse affected areas immediately with plenty of cold water.
